Lesley John Brett-1915-1941

I have finally found my fathers brother Leslie.
I was not even certain of his first name. We were told he died in the war.
When I came across this information on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site,
I was thilled that whilst we never had the chance to meet him,
I now knew a little about Leslie.
He was two years younger than my father.
I can just imagine the two of them signing up to go to war.
Much as my grandparents must have been so very proud,
I think they also must have been a little afraid for their sons.
